The N+ Cyclone™ Neuro Micro-Guidewire features an integrated multi-component architecture engineered for precise and safe neurovascular navigation. Its distal end consists of a flexible, high-visibility platinum coil tip, which transitions smoothly via a multi-tapered stainless steel core to a robust proximal hypotube. This design ensures an optimal balance between atraumatic distal flexibility for delicate vessels and the strong, 1:1 torque-responsive support needed for controlled advancement. The distal segment is further enhanced with a hydrophilic coating, significantly reducing friction to facilitate smooth trackability through complex tortuous anatomy, while color-coded proximal handles ensure intuitive clinical operation.

1. Distal End Architecture

  • Platinum Coil Construction: High-density platinum windings provide exceptional fluoroscopic visibility while maintaining atraumatic flexibility for delicate neurovascular navigation.

  • Custom-Shapeable Tip: Platinum coil tip can be manually shaped to match specific vessel anatomy, enabling precise directional control and selective catheterization.

2. Transition Zone Engineering

  • Multi-Tapered Core Design: Gradually tapered stainless steel core creates a seamless transition from proximal stiffness to distal flexibility, optimizing pushability without compromising trackability.

  • Hydrophilic Coating Segment: Distal 25 cm features uniform hydrophilic polymer coating (activated upon saline contact) that reduces surface friction by ≥70%, facilitating smooth passage through tortuous vasculature.

3. Proximal End System

  • Hypotube Reinforcement: High-strength stainless steel hypotube provides exceptional column strength and torque response, ensuring 1:1 rotational control during complex navigation.

  • Proximal Handle Design: Color-coded ergonomic handle with torque device compatibility allows for precise single-handed operation and immediate procedural recognition.
